Background
Workpay’s core product is Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) that enables businesses to manage employee payroll, leave, benefits, time, and attendance across Africa. We are also growing an Employer of Record (EOR) business to enable organizations to quickly and efficiently engage employees in any African country without the cost and risk of incorporation, contracting, and filing in that country. Global EOR companies increasingly engage Workpay as their go-to partner for remote employment in over 28 African countries. As their EOR, we manage the payroll, compliance, and compliance for their employees in various African countries on behalf of the partners.
Role Overview
As the Customer Success Executive in charge of EOR Partnerships, you will be responsible for coordinating services on behalf of all Workpay’s EOR partners, globally. This role requires the ability to quickly build and maintain strong relationships with large global organizations in order to ensure their retention and growth as partners. This requires the ability to liaise between potentially dozens of partner organizations and several internal Workpay teams, ranging from Legal Operations and Payroll Operations to Sales and Product Management, ensuring the seamless delivery of EOR services. This means ensuring that all partners are consistently content with the speed, accuracy,and reliability with which their clients’ employees are onboarded, paid and kept compliant.
Roles and Responsibilities
- EOR Partner Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for all EOR partner companies, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction.
- Retention and Churn Prevention: Proactively engage with partners to identify potential risks and challenges early. Develop strategies to retain partner relationships by addressing their needs and concerns, reducing churn, and improving overall satisfaction.
- Onboarding and Payroll: Oversee the onboarding process for new EOR employees that come to Workpay through partner companies, ensuring accurate data collection, contracting benefits, and timely payroll processing.
- Contract Compliance: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all employment agreements and related documents meet legal and regulatory standards and are in line with the expectations and requests of the partners and their clients.
- Issue Resolution: Ensure prompt and effective resolution of any concerns or challenges raised by EOR partners, including payroll issues, employee data changes, payment failures, and compliance matters.
- Performance Tracking: Regularly monitor and report on the performance of EOR partner accounts, identifying areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Work with internal teams to streamline and enhance processes related to EOR service delivery.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to partner companies on the status of their employees, payroll, and any compliance updates.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with the Payroll, Legal and HR teams to ensure smooth service delivery to partners.
Required Qualities and Qualifications
- At least two years experience in employer of record (EOR) or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) service delivery.
- Demonstrated skills in partnership management with a track record of generating value through cross selling, upselling, and referral generation.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication––specific and detailed; concise and clear.
- Personable and consultative with the confidence to advise and direct partner decisionmakers when necessary
- Highly organized and structured; capable of leveraging IT tools to manage a high volume of priorities and conversations, ensuring non slip through the cracks
- Strategic thinker who preempts partner needs by proactively planning and engaging.
- Decisive, confident, and collaborative: equally capable of making quick, independent decisions or coordinating team members and colleagues to solve problems.
